Introduction to The Honolua Ridge Trail

The Honolua Ridge Trail is one of the most popular hiking trails on Maui. The trailhead is located near the town of Kapalua, and the trail winds its way up to the top of Honolua Ridge. The views from the ridge are simply incredible, and the hike itself is quite challenging.

The trailhead for the Honolua Ridge Trail is located just off Highway 30, near Kapalua. To get to the trailhead, take Highway 30 West from Lahaina until you reach Kapalua Airport. From there, follow signs for Honolua Bay and turn onto Honolua Place. The trailhead will be on your right.

The hike itself is about 3 miles round trip, with a moderate level of difficulty. There are some steep sections, but nothing too technical. The views from the top are definitely worth the effort, though!

When you reach the top of Honolua Ridge, you'll be treated to 360-degree views of Maui's north shore. On a clear day, you can even see Moloka'i in the distance. Be sure to take plenty of pictures!
