Know More About Lithium Cell Phone Batteries

When buying a mobile phone, the most important accessory that you can get is a battery. A mobile phone battery is the life and soul of any mobile phone. Therefore, not only is it important to choose wisely but is also a good idea to have an extra one on hand, just in case. Cell phone batteries can be divided into four main types. They are Lithium Polymer, Nickel Metal Hydride, Lithium-Ion, and Nickel Cadmium.

Of the four, Lithium Polymer is the latest and most sophisticated kinds of mobile phone batteries. They are also smaller in size. For weight and size, they are hard to beat Lithium Polymer battery performance. They can last almost twice as long as a rechargeable lithium-ion battery. Nickel Metal Hydride batteries were introduced to the market about 20 years ago. They are reliable and can be recharged to full capacity in a few minutes.

Lithium-Ion or Li-Ion batteries are the most common and popular mobile phone batteries on the market today. This is because they give most "bang for the buck" than with any other type of battery. They are very reliable, kept the bill nicely, compact and do not suffer from the memory effect like some other battery.

Nickel Cadmium battery is the oldest of the lot. The main problem with these batteries is that they have a serious problem with memory loss. This means that the cost should be completely discharged before recharging. If not, then there is always a possibility of damaging the battery. The result will be longer charging times.

The technology used to make these batteries is quite old and outdated. Therefore they are more harmful to the environment than other cell phone batteries. This brings us to the last point and it will be a mobile phone battery disposal. It is always better to give to a battery disposal facility and not just throw it away after his life.
