Airport Parking – Keep your car safe while you are away

How sure are you safe when you park your car at the airport? Airport car parks are plentiful, and while many offer good security, many may not.

We've all heard horror stories of tourists leaving their keys in airport parking lots on their favorite motorbikes and returning to find a few hundred extra miles in a watch and a few bodies hit, or worse, a car being stolen or run over.  To get more details about car park marking you may check here https://totallinemarking.co.uk/line-marking-and-removal.

While this is extremely rare in most airport parking lots in the United Kingdom, it does happen to large numbers of people each year.

How can you avoid such situations? The first option is always to make sure you book an accredited parking spot, ideally with the Park Mark Award for Safer Parking. This award means that a car park is valued by local authorities and is considered to be of good quality and reliable.

Some small businesses and individuals offer small parking spaces at the airport – sometimes they sell spots in alleys or parks.

Is there insurance coverage in place? Is there a type of security? Do you have the option of accessing the damaged car when you return from vacation?

Another way to be very careful is to reserve parking spots only where you physically park the car and carry your keys with you at all times, even when you are not there.

Many airport parking spaces require you to leave your key and park staff will park the car. Do you know where it is stored where you like it? There's no way to know.
